Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions Monday announced a $3 million (US) signed contract with ISC, ICT-Service Cooperation Police, Justice and Safety. Intergraph will spatially enable the geospatial emergency response system for the Netherlands’ 26 departments for the police emergency response services, called the Sherpa project.
A European tender procedure was initiated by the Concern Informatiemanagement Politie (CIP), also the owner and initiator of the Sherpa project.
After a successful pilot project, ISC signed the contract with Intergraph for the delivery of a new geographic information system (GIS) for the emergency control centers based on Intergraph’s GeoMedia and IntelliWhere technology.
In addition, Intergraph will provide spatial information management applications for analysis, criminal investigation activities and all other emergency control operations of the Dutch police. All other public order and safety departments, such as fire and ambulance services, can use this new system when information is needed.
