Space Daily covers space science, exploration, and the institutions, missions, and discoveries shaping how humans understand the universe. This page describes the editorial standards that apply to everything we publish.

Our standards

Source verification. Space Daily articles cite primary sources where possible: peer-reviewed papers, mission press releases, agency announcements, and direct reporting from established space-news wire services. When we report on a discovery, we link to the underlying paper or release.

Scientific accuracy. We avoid sensational framing of science stories. Discoveries are presented within the context of existing research, not as breakthroughs they aren’t. Speculation is labelled as such.

Independence. Editorial decisions are made independently of advertising relationships. Sponsored content, where it appears, is clearly labelled.

Corrections. Errors are corrected promptly and noted on the article. Substantive corrections include the date of the change.

How we produce content

Space Daily’s editorial team monitors space agencies, research institutions, and the broader space-industry ecosystem for stories worth covering. Articles go through editorial review before publication, with attention to source attribution and technical accuracy.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools as part of our publishing workflow. AI assists with research, source discovery, drafting, fact-checking support, and post-publication quality audits including broken-link scans and source verification.

Articles are published with editorial oversight. Editorial responsibility for accuracy rests with Space Daily. AI does not make editorial decisions — it does not choose what we cover, what angle a story takes, or what gets published. Those decisions are made by editors.

We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, invent sources, or present AI-generated content as first-hand reporting from real individuals.

Contributors and pen names

Some Space Daily articles are published under contributor pen names. Pen names represent real members of our editorial team or freelance contributors writing under chosen names. We do not present fabricated personas or attach false professional credentials to bylines. Where a pen name is in use, articles published under it are produced by our editorial team and editorial responsibility for them rests with Space Daily.
