Westlin And Skyport Partner To Offer Advanced Satellite Connections To The Bunker

Westlin Corp is pleased to announce the availability of SkyPort Satellite services at the Westlin bunker site. SkyPort is a leading provider of fixed and mobile satellite communications services and has been recognized as the 2004 “Teleport Developer of the Year” by the World Teleport Association.

SkyPort’s primary teleport facilities are located within Ellington Field in Houston and will be initially connected to the Westlin bunker via a Gigabit Ethernet fiberoptic connection. In addition, SkyPort broadband satellite equipment will be installed directly at the Westlin bunker.

The joint product offerings from this relationship include: broadband satellite connectivity, SkyPortVIP multi-party VideoNetworking solution, SkyPortSOS Secure Offsite Storage, Access to both Westlin’s and SkyPort’s VoIP network and gateways, and Westlin’s full service Disaster Recovery solution all operated from Westlin’s underground data center.

The SkyPort/Westlin offerings present a single-source, turnkey solution for Homeland Security, Corporate Disaster Recovery solutions, and access to wide area alternate communications networks.
