Integral Systems, Inc. has been awarded a contract to integrate the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Polar Antenna Systems. Under the contract, the company will implement a more automated system for accomplishing Polar satellite operations and mission data acquisition based on the new NOAA antenna systems and Integral’s EPOCH Monitor and Control Product.
Revenues for the 2-year contract will be about $5 million, with additional
options to increase operating capabilities for advanced antenna systems
bringing the potential value of the contract to $8 million.

NOAA Integrated Program Office in its mission to converge the military and
civilian meteorological satellite programs,” notes Patrick Woods, Integral’s Vice President of NOAA Programs.
The company will enhance and integrate its EPOCH 2000 Monitor and Control
Product, which is being used as part of NOAA’s ongoing antenna systems upgrade effort at its Command and Data Acquisition sites at Fairbanks, Alaska, and Wallops Island, Virginia. Integral Systems is responsible for modifying both the existing Polar Acquisition and Control System and the recently installed Defense Meteorological Satellite Program Integrated Polar Acquisition and Control System under this contract.
