The Titan Corporation has been awarded a Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract having a potential value of $35M over a five year period.
This Laboratory Simulator Testbed Development Support Contract calls for Titan to operate, maintain and upgrade DTRA’s West Coast Facility located within Titan Systems operation in San Leandro, California.
“This five-year, sole-source contract validates Titan’s reputation as the leader in nuclear simulator technology as well as DTRA’s commitment to the West Coast Facility,” said Eric DeMarco, Titan’s chief operating officer.
“It also provides Titan with a stable business base through which to leverage its technical expertise to compete for other similar U. S. and foreign programs in the future.”
The DTRA’s West Coast Facility, operated by Titan’s simulator team, has been Department of Defense’s lead nuclear hardness and survivability test facility for the past 13 years.
Continually upgraded, the facility is specifically designed to test equipment and technology against possible vulnerabilities to radiation. It is the leading test facility in the U.S. for all major satellite and re-entry vehicle systems. This facility also supports American allies in testing their military systems against nuclear effects.
