Northrop Grumman has been selected by the U.S. General Services Administration to provide system engineering and program support for the U.S. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command and Naval Oceanographic Office.

This technical support will assist in the collection, interpretation and application of global information that keeps U.S. armed forces safe at sea, and during strategic and tactical warfare.

The Meteorological and Oceanographic Information Technology Support task order is valued at $38.9 million over five years to Northrop Grumman’s Information Technology (IT) sector.

Under the terms of the contract, Northrop Grumman will provide technical, analytical and administrative support for geospatial and imagery analysis, and system engineering and analysis to the meteorological and oceanographic community’s programs and projects.

Work on the contract will be done at the John C. Stennis Space Center, Miss.

Teammates on the contract include Radiance Technologies, Huntsville, Ala., and Avery Island Technologies, Metairie, La.
