Litton’s subsidiary PRC Inc has again been named the primary subcontractor to OAO Corp. to provide architecture analysis for the North America Air Defense (NORAD)/U.S. Space Command Mission and Architecture Support (N/UMAS) contract.

This nine-year, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract has a ceiling value of $180 million. The potential value of the contract to Litton is $50 million over the contract period.

“This is a very significant award to Litton because we are in a position to continue to provide our services to NORAD, U.S. Space Command and all supporting agencies and commands into the next millennium,” said Leonard M. Pomata, Litton vice president and PRC president.

Litton PRC, Litton TASC, SAIC, Booz-Allen Hamilton, bd Systems and GeoComm International, on the N/UMAS contract, support OAO, based in Greenbelt, Md. The OAO N/UMAS team provides space planning, architecture analysis, systems and sustainment engineering, and end-to-end test and certification for all NORAD and U.S. Space Command systems and missions.

Under the terms of the contract, Litton will have the lead responsibility for architecture analysis and task responsibilities in all other areas.

PRC, located in McLean, Va., has supported this effort for the past nine years as a part of the incumbent OAO team. This contract represents the third award to PRC as a part of the incumbent team, having won both predecessor contracts competitively, originally in 1987 and again in 1993.

Litton is a leader in worldwide technology markets for advanced electronics, defense and information systems, and is a major designer and builder of surface combatant ships for the U.S. Navy and allied nations.
