On Tuesday and Wednesday, December 12 and 13, 2000, in Orlando, FL, USA, the Object Management Group (OMG) Space Domain Task Force (DTF) will host an Information Day focusing on Technology and Standards for the Space Industry.

The OMG Space DTF works collaboratively with vendors, integrators and end-users in the Space and Satellite industry to foster the emergence of cost effective, timely, commercially available and interoperable space, satellite, and ground system domain software components through CORBA technology.

The OMG Space DTF¿s overall architecture goals are to develop architecturally neutral specifications that will allow space systems to be integrated using components that are interoperable and portable.

This Space and Satellite Information Day will provide civilian, defense, and government technology managers, architects, systems integrators and vendor organizations an insight into the activities being performed in the distributed object field related to space technology.

Leading space and satellite innovators will make presentations focusing on the future objectives of space and satellite software standards.
