Space Daily covers space exploration, astronomy, Earth systems, life sciences and the engineering of discovery. Human behaviour, history and policy belong on Space Daily only when they are directly connected to missions, scientific work or the consequences of exploration. This page explains the editorial standards that apply to what we publish.

Our standards

Source verification. We use primary and authoritative sources where practical, including peer-reviewed research, official mission and agency material, institutional releases, public records, and direct statements. Important factual claims are supportable and important sources are linked or attributed. We claim interviews and direct contact with a source only when they occurred.

Scientific accuracy. We distinguish established findings from preliminary research, interpretation, and speculation. Headlines and summaries should fairly reflect the underlying source and its level of certainty.

Editorial independence. Advertising, sponsorship, affiliate, and other commercial relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions. Sponsored or paid material is identified. Affiliate links and products or services connected to Brown Brothers Media are disclosed in the article itself, near the recommendation.

Corrections. We correct material errors promptly. Material corrections carry a dated note in line with our Corrections Policy. Where the central premise of an article cannot be supported, we withdraw it.

Writers, desks and tools

Most articles carry the writer’s name. Some carry a staff byline, including the Space Daily Editorial Team or a house column, when the newsroom produced the piece together. Space Daily is responsible for either. A person’s experience and credentials appear only under that person’s name.

Space Daily uses tools, including AI, in research and drafting. The writer is responsible for the facts, the sources and the final text. First-hand reporting is claimed only when it happened. Images and other media made or materially altered by AI are labeled when a reader could mistake them for a real record.

Named writers have author pages. The Masthead explains how bylines work.

News releases and contributed material

We may report from news releases, research announcements, wire material, freelance work, guest contributions, and information supplied by organisations. We edit and attribute this material as appropriate. Publication does not mean Space Daily endorses the views of a source or contributor.

Publication history and archive

Space Daily began publishing in 1995 and was founded in Tokyo. Its archive spans several ownership and editorial eras.

Current standards apply to new work and to older articles that we substantively review. We do not describe a migrated or reformatted archive article as updated unless its reporting or conclusions were materially reviewed.

In October 2026 we withdrew articles that did not meet this standard. The original address now shows a notice that the article was withdrawn after an editorial review and is no longer available.

Ownership and contact

Space Daily is published by Brown Brothers Media Pte. Ltd. and funded primarily by display advertising.
