"Sonya's experience in engineering, program management and technology development makes her ideally suited to lead the sector on the next evolutionary step in its process-oriented journey."

In this new position, Sepahban will be responsible for advancing the maturity and performance of the sector's processes, increasing the cross-functional focus on production reliability and quality, and the focus on customer deliverable products. The new organization will emphasize collaboration across the value stream to ensure mission success with stable, predictable processes to ensure flawless execution.

In her previous position as vice president for Systems Engineering, Sepahban was responsible for end-to-end system engineering functions, which included the development and implementation of the sector's overall system engineering strategy and processes.

Her previous leadership roles include vice president and deputy for Technology Development, and vice president and deputy general manager of Engineering. She has also been responsible for design integration, assembly, test and launch site operations in previous government and industry roles.
