Japan Plays Down Human Spaceflight Plans

Japan will continue to pursue advances in rocketery, satellites and robotic exploration, but the country has no plans to mount a major human spaceflight program. Japan's Minister for Science and Technology, said after a speech in Washington outlining Japan's strategic R&D plans.
