El Segundo CA (SPX) Jun 09, 2006 The Aerospace Corp. announced this week it has appointed Alan M. Foonberg and Diana M. Johnson as principal directors in the company's Communications and Networking Division, and Ranwa N. Haddad as principal director in the Navigation Division. Foonberg will direct activities in the Communication and Network Architectures Subdivision. His organization supports the development and engineering of advanced communication systems architectures. He also is responsible for establishing a greater focus in the area of networked communications systems. Foonberg's most recent position was systems director of Mission Operations Systems within the Transformational Satellite Communications System. Johnson will lead the Communication Systems Implementation Subdivision, an organization that provides support to customers in the areas of radio frequency electronics, digital signal processing, and antenna systems. She also will help coordinate communication implementation efforts and systems engineering and architecture activities within the Communications and Networking Division. Johnson advances from director of the Communication Systems Engineering Department. Haddad will be responsible for leadership and management of the company's systems engineering resources within the Global Positioning System Joint Program Office. She also will serve as the company's chief engineer for GPS. Her most recent position was principal engineer in the Navigation Division. The Aerospace Corporation is an independent, non-profit company that provides objective technical analyses and assessments for national-security space programs and selected civil and commercial space programs in the national interest. Peckham has been serving on an interim basis in this role since March 30. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry, focusing the past 18 years on commercial space business. |
