Russia's Roscosmos space corporation might receive an order for the supply of components for Iranian satellites, Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov said Thursday. Earlier in the day, Nikiforov and Iranian Minister of Communication Mahmoud Vaezi met in Moscow and discussed a number of issues. "Iran is very interested in the experience of the Russian space program, including in the sphere of communication. Indeed, my colleague [Vaezi] has repeatedly talked about the interest in the use of Russian satellite technology. This is being discussed with the Roskosmos corporation. The Russian satellites constructors have a very good chance of getting the orders and the contracts for Iranian projects. I know that the negotiations are on the way. It necessary to wait for the results," Nikiforov told Rossiya 24 news channel. Vaezi is currently on an official visit in the Russia capital, where he is also expected to meet Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov as well as Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.
