LM Space Picks Ambrose To Lead Surveillance And Navigation
Denver CO (SPX) May 18, 2006 Lockheed Martin announced Wednesday it has named Richard F. Ambrose to be the lead executive of its newly formed Surveillance and Navigation Systems line of business within its Space Systems Company. Ambrose, who joined LM in 2000, will serve as vice present and be responsible for the execution of essential national security programs including the Space Based Infrared System and Global Positioning System, as well as the company's next-generation systems including GPS III, Space Radar and Space Superiority. Since January 2004, Ambrose has served as vice president and general manager of LM's Maritime Systems & Sensors' Tactical Systems line of business, headquartered in Eagan, Minn. He previously served in Space Systems as vice president and deputy program manager for SBIRS. "Rick Ambrose has a wealth of talent and experience in leadership, strategy and program management that will serve the company well as we build on our positive momentum in developing critical surveillance and navigation programs," said Tom Marsh, LM Space Systems executive vice president. Astronaut Kathryn Sullivan To Vice Chair National Science Board Washington DC (SPX) May 15, 2006 The National Science Board has elected former NASA astronaut Kathryn D. Sullivan to serve a two-year term as vice chair, replacing Diana S. Natalico. Sullivan, who currently serves as science adviser to the Center of Science and Technology in Columbus, Ohio, is a former astronaut and a veteran of three space shuttle missions. |
