Since its first launch in 2018, ICEYE has deployed a total of 44 satellites, including those for its customers. These latest satellites enhance ICEYE's capabilities, delivering industry-leading 25 cm resolution. The company aims to significantly expand its constellation with plans to launch more than 20 satellites annually starting in 2025.
The satellites support both ICEYE's internal operations and dedicated customer projects. They were manufactured in Finland and the United States by ICEYE and include the second satellite for Space42, a UAE-based SpaceTech company. This deployment supports Space42's Earth Observation Space Program, which leverages advanced AI technologies.
"Through the continuous and reliable deployment of new satellites into the ICEYE constellation, we are reinforcing our leadership position in Earth Observation," said Rafal Modrzewski, CEO and Co-Founder of ICEYE. "ICEYE's revolutionary satellites have a unique combination of small size and high performance. With today's announcement, we also celebrate the launch of the second ICEYE satellite for Space42, and we look forward to further collaboration to advance the UAE's space capabilities."
Hasan Al Hosani, CEO of Bayanat Smart Solutions, Space42, added, "Foresight-2 has furthered the UAE's position as a global leader in satellite-based Earth observation, while enabling us to strengthen our credentials as a multi-orbit satellite operator. Through the SAR constellation, we continue to advance local satellite manufacturing capabilities and enhance national preparedness for emergency response, delivering maximum value to our customers regionally and globally."
ICEYE's SAR constellation is the largest of its kind, offering unparalleled imaging capabilities. These satellites can capture high-resolution images of any location on Earth, regardless of weather or lighting conditions, and provide near real-time insights for commercial and government customers.
The latest deployment follows ICEYE's successful launch of two satellites in December 2024. Over the course of the year, the company added nine satellites to its constellation.
