Energia Holds Senior Management Review Of Russian Space Activities
Korolev, Moscow (SPX) Jan 10, 2007 S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation hosted the conference of the Corporation senior and middle managers and its subsidiary companies chaired by RSC Energia's President, General Designer N.N. Sevastiyanov. The conference reviewed the Corporation year-end performance. A noticeable rise in the volume of the products sold (by 37.5%) was noted, as well as a three-fold increase in the corporate profits was recorded as compared with those in 2005. Also the audience was familiarized with draft Program of the Corporation Long-Term Development over the period till 2015 aimed at the following activities: manned space systems, automated space systems, rocket systems. By 2009 it is already planned to provide a two-fold increase in manufacturing and launches of rocket-space systems according to the core business of the Corporation and due to an expanded demand for its products on both domestic and international space markets. The need to implement new "breakthrough" Projects was confirmed, among which the following are particularly important: modifying the Soyuz manned space vehicle, development of reusable cargo system Parom; development of reusable manned space vehicle Clipper; creation of a new generation of remote sensing and communication satellites based upon the Yamal space bus, as well as study of Lunar and Martian Programs. The Conference adopted the RSC Energia's Work Program for 2007 approved by the Corporation Board of Directors on December 12th, 2006. The Program foresees a 30% increase in its budget revenues as compared with those in 2006, as well as the 2007 Investment Plan to the extent of 1 bln 787 mln rubles, with the aim to expand and modernize the production capacities available at RSC Energia. The President, General Designer N.N. Sevastiyanov and RSC Energia's Managing Board noted that their employees had performed well in the development of Russian cosmonautics over the last year. They congratulated those present and the whole team of the Corporation involving 15,000 members, on the coming New Year and wished everybody happiness, perfect health and new work successes in the next 2007 year.
