Russia May Spend Almost $12 bln on Glonass in 2012-2020
Moscow (RIA Novosti) Feb 09, 2012
Russia may spend 346.5 billion rubles (almost $12 bln) on its Glonass satellite navigation system in 2012-2020, the Kommersant daily said on Wednesday. Glonass is Russia's answer to the U.S. Global Positioning System, or GPS, and is designed for both military and civilian uses.
