    In life, James Doohan was the "Star Trek" engineer who worked miracles on the Enterprise, but Elon Musk's SpaceX-designed Falcon 1 that was meant to blast his remains into space has engine trouble. A Falcon One rocket was to lift the ashes of Doohan, who played engineer Montgomery "Scotty" Scott aboard the fictional Starship Enterprise, into space next month but the launch has been delayed at least until February, organizers said Tuesday. fullstory

    Arianespace's New Heavy Lifter Launches Two Satellites

    An Ariane-5 ECA launcher with two telecommunications satellites, whose blast-off was repeatedly postponed, lifted off from the Kourou base in French Guiana Wednesday, European group Arianespace said. The Ariane-5 ECA rocket was launched at 8:46 pm (2346 GMT).
