Raytheon opens new cyber center in Georgia by Geoff Ziezulewicz Dulles, Va. (UPI) Aug 1, 2016
Raytheon has opened a new cyber facility in Augusta, Ga., to deliver a range of cybersecurity capabilities to the Pentagon, the company announced Monday. The facility will particularly aim to work with the U.S. Army's Cyber Command as it relocates to Fort Gordon, Raytheon said in a statement. Raytheon has provided the Pentagon with services that include cyber hardening and computer network defense and training. The company hopes to provide services for the 2,600 military, 900 civilian and 200 contractor jobs that the Army projects it will add to Fort Gordon's workforce by 2019, Raytheon said. Fort Gordon is home to the Army's Cyber Center of Excellence.
