Oshkosh tapped for tactical vehicle support

Oshkosh Defense has been awarded a contract for services in support of medium tactical vehicles.

The contract, from Marine Corps Systems Command, is valued at more than $43.2 million under the terms of an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract.

The deal enables Oshkosh Defense to provide engineering change proposal kits, parts and hardware components to support the medium tactical vehicles replacement program, the Pentagon announced.

The U.S. military uses multiple vehicle variants from the family of medium tactical vehicles manufactured by Oshkosh Defense, out of Oshkosh, Wisc., where work on the contract will be performed.

No obligated funds were be awarded to Oshkosh Defense at the time of award.

The period of performance on the contract will expire in May 2023, the Pentagon said.

Army contracts American Ordnance for mortar munitions
Washington (UPI) May 29, 2018 - American Ordnance has been awarded a contract from the Defense Department for services on multiple variants of mortar munitions.

The contract from U.S. Army Contract Command is valued at more than $511.2 million under the terms of a firm-fixed-price contract and enables American Ordnance to provide propelling charges for 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortar munition, the Pentagon said.

Mortars are a short-range, indirect fire weapon system that launch explosive-laced projectiles.

Work locations and funding for the contract will be determined with each order, the Pentagon said.

The contract will expire in May 2023.

Leidos Inc. was awarded a contract for scientific and technical services to support the Cooperative Biological Engagement program.
