Orbital ATK has been awarded a contract by the Department of Defense for advanced anti-radiation guided missiles and other products for the U.S. Navy and Australian government. The contract, from Naval Air Systems Command and valued at more than $171.2 million, comes under the terms of a modified firm-fixed-price contract and enables Orbital ATK to provide advanced anti-radiation guided missiles, the Pentagon announced on Wednesday. Specifically, the contract provides for the conversion and upgrade of 271 AGM-88 High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missiles from Block B to Block E, in addition to providing "eight Captive Air Training Missiles and 10 AGM-88E AARGM AURs for foreign military sales customers," as well as other supporting services and spare parts. Work on the contract will occur in California and is expected to be complete in March 2020. The total cumulative value of the contract will be obligated to Orbital ATK at time of award from Navy fiscal 2016, 2017 and 2018 weapons procurement funds coupled with foreign military sales funds, the Pentagon said. More than $240,000 of the obligated funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year in September.
