Northrop Grumman was awarded two contracts from the Department of Defense on Thursday for services in support of the E-2 Hawkeye aircraft. The contract award from Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is valued at more than $81.2 million between two contracts that enable Northrop Grumman to provide power amplifier modules and high-voltage power supplies to the E-2 Hawkeye aircraft, according to Defense Department contract announcements Thursday. Currently, the U.S. military uses the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye version of the aircraft, which is designed for all-weather, tactical airborne early warning detection that is capable of deploying from an aircraft carrier. Work on the contracts will occur in Florida and is expected to be complete in June 2023 for use by the U.S. Navy. Navy working capital funds from fiscal 2018 through 2023 will be used to fund the contract awards.
