Head of the Russian Federal Space Agency Anatoly Perminov and Ukrainian National Space Agency General Director Yury Alekseev signed an agreement on space cooperation development Wednesday, RIA Novosti has reported.
Perminov said the agreement covered the joint launches of the Cyclone-2 carrier rockets, the Sea Start and Ground Start programs and Ukraine's participation in the construction of the new Clipper reusable manned spacecraft in Russia.
"Earlier, we worked based on an agreement signed in the past," Perminov said. "Today Ukraine has a new president and a new state secretary who supervise the space sphere. Therefore, we have adjusted the terms of joint programs."
