SI International Wins $6 Million Air Force Space Command Contract
SI International has been awarded a prime contract to provide Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) engineering and technical services to the Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) for defining, developing, fielding, testing, and sustaining their components of the BMD system. The competitive task order has a 11-month base period with a one-year option. The task order's potential value is $6 million, inclusive of the option period. With BMD as a key focus area, SI International has been supporting the AFSPC and U.S. Strategic Command (USSSTRATCOM), formerly U.S. Space Command for more than seven years. In addition, SI International has supported AFSPC Space-Based Sensors systems, Spacelift Range systems, Range Standardization and Automation, military satellite communication (Milsatcom) systems, the Air Force Satellite Control Network, and other AFSPC programs since 1996.
