VEGA Wins Three Year ESOC Flight Dynamics Framework Contract
VEGA Group, the independent Programme and System Assurance company, has been awarded a three year competitive framework contract, with a possible two year extension in Flight Dynamics support for the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC), in Darmstadt, Germany. This is part of a wider framework arrangement involving VEGA, and two other consortia, for which the estimated total value is 30 million over the five year period. Dave Whittle, Strategic Sales Director, Space commented, "This framework contract is breaking new grounds for VEGA. Building on flight dynamics experience with other clients, this is the first time we have bid for this contract at ESOC and are delighted to be chosen." The VEGA consortium has brought together two subcontractors: CS based in France; and HE Space of Germany, two new partners for VEGA, which present a European team of flight dynamic expertise. Whittle concluded, "Work packages available with the initial frame contract have been legacy or maintenance packages, however, we are confident that VEGA will be awarded work packages within the very near future, which will increase our footprint of support within ESOC."
