. US shuttle Endeavour blasts off on way to space station
CAPE CANAVERAL, Feb 8 (AFP) Feb 08, 2010
The US space shuttle Endeavour and its crew of six astronauts lifted off early Monday on a mission to deliver a module dubbed Tranquility to the International Space Station.

Tranquility, also known as Node 3, comes with a multi-window cupola constructed in Turin, Italy that will allow for panoramic views of Earth, space objects and spacecraft arriving at the ISS, the US space agency said.

With Endeavour's delivery of Tranquility and its attached cupola, built by the European group Thales Alenia Space, the International Space Station will be 90 percent complete, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration said.
